Vacation!!! day 1

I'm here...

I'd love to say I'm here in sunny Orlando Florida...but it is 10:42 pm, no sun, and it is sweatshirt weather.

This is my first family vacation in years and years. My parents and I are sharing a room right now. My sister, brother-in-law and their five children are on their way down from TN and should be arriving in about 3-4 hours. When that happens - I'll be sharing a bed with one of my nephews, another one will be on a trundle bed, and the rest of that family will be in the next room.

yep - ten of us sharing two rooms...each room has two double beds (and trust me, they are not the queen size bed that I'm used to at home. I should clarify - the queen size bed that I'm used to having all to myself at home.

On the flight down, I finished "The Swan Thieves" by Elizabeth Kostova. Quite a good book - though I sort of guessed a bit of the ending. Next book - the new Jasper Fforde.

The two flights down were good - a bit turbulent coming in to Atlanta, but otherwise just fine. Thank goodness for my ipod as there were screaming kids on both flights. oh well...

it is now 11pm here...I've been up since 7:30 or so...did not sleep well last night, probably won't sleep great tonight either (though I know I don't have to get up for work or anything else in the am so that will relieve a bit of stress) so...I'm off to bed.
